A week-long game jam for Conestoga College students to create, learn, and collaborate. Whether you're a coder, artist, or storyteller, come make something cool and level up your skills!
Game Jam is a collaborative, week-long event where you can explore game development, learn Unity basics and source control, and get hands-on experience in a supportive environment. It’s not a competition, just a chance to build your portfolio, make new connections, and have fun while learning.
Attendance for the Co-Curricular Record, networking, and potentially adding members to your team.
Hear from both the Director and Manager of CVRI about why Game Jam is so important to us and to you.
Learn about how the Game Jam works, and what to expect for the week.
Stick around after the presentations to brainstorm your project and/or add members to your team.
Learn the basics of Unity starting from the absolute beginning. Hosted by Game Jam alumni, and current co-op developer Gabriel Siewert.
Frequent, Small, Contained code commits will make your life easier. Monolithic merges on the last day will be your downfall. Come learn the basics of multi-collaborator source control.
It's rough out there right now. Bring your questions and see if Cam has some ideas about how you can stand out from the crowd.
Even if it doesn't work as well as you'd hoped, come show off what your team built! There are no bad demos and there is no competition. Just celebration!
