Game Jam is a collaborative, week-long event where you can explore game development, learn Unity basics and source control, and get hands-on experience in a supportive environment. It’s not a competition, just a chance to build your portfolio, make new connections, and have fun while learning.

What to Expect

A session where you’ll get credit for the Co-Curricular Record, make new connections through networking, and have the chance to add members to your team.

A welcome session presented by Snap Decision Studio and CEC where you’ll get an overview of the event, what to expect, and key info to get you started.

A beginner-friendly workshop led by Snap Decision where you’ll get introduced to Unity3D fundamentals and learn the basics of creating a video game.

An introductory workshop led by Snap Decision where you’ll learn the essentials of group source control and how to collaborate smoothly on shared code.

A quick virtual check-in on Discord to touch base and keep everyone on track for day two.

A workshop on learning how to use NOVA’s controller-free hand gestures in Unity to make your games more fun and interactive.

A quick virtual check-in on Discord to touch base and keep everyone on track for day three.

An in-person check-in to confirm your attendance for Co-Curricular Record credit and get settled before presenting your demos.

A final session where you and your team can showcase your game, pitch your ideas, and get live feedback!

Wrap up the event by hanging out with other participants, asking final questions, and connecting before heading out.
